State Run Milk Products Company Aavin decided to install 24 hours outlets in some of the crowded transportation and travel hubs. The areas where the outlets will be placed includes Egmore railway station, Chennai Central Station, Koyambedu Bus Terminus and many other areas.
Tamil Nadu Cooperative Milk Producers Federation had chosen 40 places to place 24 hour outlets of Aavin Milk and sub-products. Initially 12 places are opened for the public use and the process of opening other spots will be escalated very soon says the Federation sources.
There are plans to install Aavin outlets in the Indian Oil bunks of the city. These Parlors will sell all kinds of Aavin products ranging from milk, flavored milk, sweets and other milk products. Recently one of such parlors was opened at the IOC bunk near Adyar Telephone Exchange.
Dairy Development Minister K.T. Rajenthra Bhalaji officially announced the department’s plan to launch Vending machines in important areas. These machines will have flavored milks and other products that have long shelf life.
The Minister opened the Vending machines in Madhavaram and Virugambakkam areas of Chennai City. Initially the machines will provide Tea, Coffee, Badam Milk, Plain Milk and Hot Water. The plans to install Ice Cream vending options is in the process and will be initiated very soon. The Aavin Management has various plans to introduce quick providing options to being up the turn-over of the government concern to the next level of financial progression.
More than 100 vending machines in various locations have been planned that includes some of the school premises as well. Also mobile parlors are launched in some busy commercial areas. Vanilla Ice cream and Kulfi, Paneer ½ Kg and 1 Kg variants and Curd Packs are distributed in the opening ceremony of the mobile outlets by the Diary Minister.
