Cancellation of GRE creates confusion

College students across the city are frustrated and confused after the GRE (Graduate Record Exam), a test for postgraduate courses abroad was postponed due to a technical snag.
GRE centres in Mumbai, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Trivandrum and Bangalore have been affected. The tests have been rescheduled. However, if the student is not happy with the re-scheduling, they have a choice to appear for the exam in the centres that have not been affected – Gurgaon, Hyderabad and Allahabad.
Promteric India, the firm that conducts the test in the country has said that they will revert with the rescheduled dates soon and have asked students not to get worked up. An official said, ‘Student will not be charged any extra fee for rescheduling the test.’
