Tamil cultural festival re-launched

Rajya Sabha MP Ms. Kanimozhi has re-launched her annual cultural extravaganza ‘Chennai Sangamam’. It will now be called ‘Thamizhar Tiruvizha’. Her father and DMK head Mr. Karunanidhi inaugurated the five day festival that will conclude on the 22nd.
The organizers said that this event had been conducted with absolutely no help from the AIADMK Government and compared it to the previous years when the DMK regime included tourism and other departments to promote Tamil folk culture. Mr. Karunanidhi has claimed that the festival will take place every year from now on.
