The news that has come out now is southern parts of Tamil Nadu and other western interior districts would soon have thunderstorm. This thunderstorm might be because of shift of upper air cyclonic circulations into Arabian Sea and change in the wind patterns.
Presently the city of Chennai is very hot and this temperature would be reduced soon. It is now said that the air circulation would bring easterlies along the TN coast.
It is now predicted that as the rainfall shifts to western parts of TN like Kanyakumari, Thoothukudi, Virudhunagar, Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Erode, Madurai, Krishnagiri, Thiruvannamalai, Trichy, Karur etc, the wind patterns pull the rains from east. The maximum degrees and minimum degrees would be around 37 degrees and 28 degrees in the Chennai city. This was later confirmed by Mr. Balachandran who is the director of regional meteorological centre.
Weather blogger Mr. Pradeep John is a popular person who has been playing his part in the weather predictions etc for many years now. He spoke about how Trichy plus other places like Coimbatore. Kanyakumari and Dindigul received good rainfall recently. He also hinted about light or moderate rains or thundershowers in southern districts of TN.
Mr. Pradeeep John later clarified how easterlies were responsible for the cool and cloudy evenings plus temperature drop in the day time.
