Counselling for MBBS Course during the 3rd week of June

The Tamil Nadu state Health Minister, C. Vijayabhaskar, informed that the counselling for the medical courses MBBS and BDS will commence during the 3rd week of June.

A pass in NEET (National Entrance-cum-Eligibility Test) is mandatory for pursuing medical courses, was conducted on 6th May.  The results are to be released on 6th June.

In this situation, the +2 public examination results have been released in Tamil Nadu on 15th May (Wednesday). Subsequently, the expectations of the students regarding the dates of counselling for the medical courses have intensified.

Dr. Edwin Joe, the Director of the Medical Education, explained regarding this:

CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) has to release the results of NEET. Subsequently, the Central Health Services Directorate will announce the All India counselling dates.

Once these dates are announced, the distribution of application forms will commence in Tamil Nadu and then the dates for counselling will be announced.

Meanwhile, the state Health Minister, C. Vijayabhaskar, had a session with the press reporters. He informed that the counselling for the medical courses may start during the 3rd week of June. The exact dates will be announced later.
