The official announcement of the postponement of the exams conducted by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) and Tamil Nadu Maritime Academy (TNMA) was done by the Controller of Examinations. The exams were scheduled at Thoothukudi district and now the latest Sterlite issue raised huge chaos in and out of the Thoothukudi district.
In keeping the safety measure on account, R.Sudhan from Controller of Examinations revised the earlier TNPSC departmental exams schedule planned between May 24 and 31.
TNMA postponed the admission to the G.P rating course and announced the re-scheduling of the test and declarations of the results for selecting students for Pre Sea Course of General Purpose (G.P) rating. The official release from TNMA said that the test was conducted for 31st batch of the G.P rating course and the exams were postponed to June 10, 2018.
