The 2nd cyclonic format which developed recently over the Arabian Sea, crossed the coast yesterday (Sunday, 27th May). However, another low-pressure zone has developed immediately. So, the fishermen have been strictly advised not to venture into the sea.

The weather centre has estimated that the depression zone, which has formed over the area between Kerala and Karnataka coasts, may intensify further form into a very low-pressure zone. Strong winds may blow at 100 kmph.

Hence, the fishermen of the Arabian coastal areas have been strictly advised not to venture into the sea. This information was given by the director of the Chennai Meteorological Cenre, S. Balachandran.

Meanwhile, with the strengthening southwest monsoon rainy season, it is estimated that a new low-pressure zone will develop over the south-central Bay of Bengal region. With the symptoms of the 2 cyclonic formats indicated above, it will be known in 2 days which one will weaken and which one will intensify.
