Chennai temperature now lowered by more light rains

According to the prediction by the weathermen it is now said that the city of Chennai would receive rains in few days of time. The places such as Kancheepuram and Thiruvallur which are near Chennai are having heavy rains now and people living there are feeling happy. One important piece of information is the coming days in the Chennai city would be hot but in the evenings there would be drizzles and that would make the city cool.
On Monday, 4th June 2018, it is predicted that there would be light rains in some parts of the Chennai. The temperature climbed to a maximum of 38.3 degrees which is the third highest maximum in this 2018 and on Sunday there were few drizzles and that reduced the temperature down by 6 degrees. According to the forecast by the meteorological department, the maximum temperature in Chennai on Monday would be around 37 degrees. The westerlies are still weak and it is the westerlies that usually brings rain clouds is known.
Weather blogger Mr. Pradeep John shared his views and spoke about how in this coming week the westerlies would become stronger as the southwest monsoon has not picked up the steam yet. This southwest monsoon has advanced to some parts of the state and this was as per the latest IMD bulletin. The westerlies that are prevailing are weak and are overcome by the easterlies that are strong. On Sunday, 3rd June 2018, light to moderate rainfall took place because winds from Arabian Sea steered clouds to western part of Tamil Nadu.
It is superb to mention that in just 24 hours till 830 am on Sunday, Kuzhithurai in Kanyakumari district got 6cm of rainfall and that was superb. Next Tiruttani belonging to Tiruvallur district got 5cm of rainfall and Kancheepuram and Arani received 4cm of rainfall each. Some interior places got up to 3cm of rainfall and these places are Salem, Coimbatore, Erode, Vellore, Krishnagiri etc.
In the month of June in 2017, Chennai city recorded maximum temperature of 41.1 degrees Celsius and the average for June month is 37 Celsius. The temperatures in Chennai have been low till now.
