Assembly shift plea dismissed

The AIADMK’s plea to shift the premises of the State Assembly to Fort St. George from the building in Chepauk has been dismissed by the Supreme Court. According to the bench, the appeal should be taken to another forum.
Chief Minster, Ms. J. Jayalalitha has asked to shift the Assembly to the older building from Omandurar Government Estate which was chosen by the DMK regime.
