For the citizens who have bought houses allotted by the CMDA (Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority), the state government has informed that the facility to pay the EMI (Equated Monthly Instalment) amounts online shortly.
In the policy explanation guideline of the CMDA presented in the Legislative Assembly yesterday (5th July), it is mentioned that on behalf of CMDA, in the period 2017-18, while 31781 apartments/flats were sold, a revenue of Rs. 826 Crores has been earned. Similarly, in the sales of 24 commercial houses, a revenue of Rs. 67.37 Crores has been earned.
The facility to make monthly online payments will be made available shortly for those who have registered for allotment in the rental home plan of CMDA, payment of rent, and those who got the allotment of the apartment through self-financing or instalment (EMI) plans.
The construction activities for building 6877 houses at Chennai Eranavur for the low-income category applicants will commence shortly.
The original sale deeds have been handed over to 9082 customers who completed the payment of all instalments and the final payment properly and on time.
Out of this, 1716 customers have availed the benefit of a discount in the amount of the penalty interest to be paid.
