- Most roads in Chennai bear a deserted look as state-owned transport corporation operates skeletal services and other public transport vehicles, including autorickshaws stayed off roads in the city. Train services, however, operated as usual.
- Service road on Marina is slowly getting filled up with vehicles of party cadres. Vehicles from Parrys Corner have no more access to Kamarajar Salai, as the stretch is covered with party cadres standing on the median and the road too.
- MTC buses stopped plying in the city. Many DMK cadres use MRTS and suburban EMU train services to reach Chintadripet MRTS railway station, close to the Rajaji Hall venue.
- The roads leading to Rajaji Salai, namely Deputy Mayor Kabalamurthy Road, Swami Sivananda Salai, Walajah Road, and Pallavan Salai have been closed to traffic.
- The DMK supporters were seen ferrying people from Chennai Central railway station to Rajaji Hall. The Chennai suburban trains and Metro continue to ply, but MTC buses have reduced their services.
