Acid victim dies

A victim of an acid attack died in Chennai on Tuesday. The IT professional was waiting for a bus to return to Chennai from her hometown Puducherry, when a man whose proposal she had rejected threw acid on her.
The man was arrested and will be tried for murder. According to the recent passed resolutions in Parliament, those found guilty of acid attacks against women will face a minimum of 10 years imprisonment.
