Can children have tea as a daily beverage?

Feedback comments in many child care post threads have parents accepting the fact of offering two cups of tea to their children. Even six months old babies catch the taste of the tea that boosts their nervous system leading to addiction. Experts suggests the dangerous effects of tea on small children. There is an age criteria for having such hot beverages and especially not recommended for the children below five years.

Ayurveda says herbal teas are always a best option that have distinct taste factor and largely health benefits. Ginger tea, Cinnamon tea and other herbal teas can help children in times of cold and flu clearing the phlegm accumulated in the throat. If the parents cannot prevent their children from having teas then change the ways of preparation. Put small amount of leaves or powder to prepare the tea mixed along with certain healthy herbs that will benefit the well-being of their children.

Irrespective of the situation and craving the complete avoidance of caffeine related beverages is the only best way to do some good to the immune system of your children. Replace the tea time with some herbal drinks and most importantly Children always follow their parents. If you decide not to offer tea or coffee to your children then remove the entire habit from the household. Good habits must be lived by the parents before converting it to their next generation.
