A latest update from Southern railways reported the speeding up of 18 trains will be effective from August 15, 2018. The running time of Nagercoil-Mumbai and Tambaram-Tirunelveli Antyodaya Express decreases by 60 minutes with the new speed implementation. Coimbatore-Chennai Central Shatabdi Express will have an increased speed of 15 minutes on the straight journey while the train will have a return speed increased by five minutes. Pandian express between Chennai and Madurai will speed up by 10 minutes and about five minutes during the return journey. These are all the primary updates highlighted by Southern railways on Monday evening.
The Tambaram-Sengottai Antyodaya Express will leave at 7 A.M reaching Sengottai station at 10.30 P.M. The return journey will leave at 6 A.M and reach Tambaram around 10.15 P.M. The details about the trains extended to Tambaram, Chennai are as follows: Train Numbers: 15630/15629 Guwahati – Chennai Egmore - Guwahati Weekly Express and Train numbers: 15930/15929 Dibrugarh-Chennai Egmore-Dibrugarh Weekly express
There are changes in the suburban train time table mainly comprising of Tirutani-Moore market complex (MMC) train will leave 35 minutes earlier for its 1.15 P.M service. Chennai Beach to Thiruvalluvar 5.35 A.M service and Chennai Beach to Velachery service at 4.40 A.M will leave 10 minutes earlier. According to the new schedule seven of the suburban trains will have a late start. Chengalpet to Beach service will be delayed for 15 minutes in its 11.43A.M service whereas the Kancheepuram to Beach 10.56 A.M service will leave late by 14 minutes.
Southern railways stopped the Beach to St. Thomas Mount turn back service and extended the train up to Tambaram. The train will leave Beach station at 8:32am and reach Tambaram at 9.27 am. On its return journey the train will leave Tambaram at 9:32am and reach Beach at 10:27am.
