Rain to persist for 2 more days

It has been raining in the Northern Tamil Nadu due to the phenomenon of the thermal convection. Meanwhile, a cyclonic formation has developed over the Southern Tamil Nadu. Because of this, there were rains both in Northern and Southern Tamil Nadu from the morning today (Friday, 24th August). This rain is likely to persist for the next 2 days.
It has been raining excessively in the districts of Theni, Dindigul, Nilgiri, Coimbatore, Tirunelveli, and Kanyakumari on account of the southwest monsoon rainy season. There are prospects for heavy rains in a few places in this region.
There are prospects of a low-pressure zone to form over the Bay of Bengal. So, it is expected that there are strong prospects of heavy rains on 26th August. The sea may be quite stormy.
