Traffic diversions for Annai Velankanni Madha Church Fest

Traffic diversions are announced in the areas of Adyar and Besant Nagar to clear out the celebration of 10 day long festival in Annai Velankanni Madha Church. Traffic police made several diversions to avoid congestion in these areas during the events of the church fest. Vehicles will not be allowed on 6th Avenue, 4th Main Road, 3rd, 2nd and 7th Avenue facilitating the Madha Procession on August 29, September 2 and 7, 2018.
Vehicles are not allowed leading to the church from 4 pm connecting MG road to 7th avenue junction, 6th Avenue to 4th Main Road junction and 4th Main Road to 3rd Avenue Junction. Buses are not allowed towards Besant Avenue leading to ML Park for all three days from 4 pm onwards. Vehicles will be blocked towards Besant Nagar bus terminus from LB road leading to Shastri Nagar 1st avenue, Dhamodarapuram, and Jeevarathinam Nagar.
Buses connecting Mylapore and Kotturpuram will take the Besant Avenue road and ML Park for the above mentioned dates. Vehicles arriving to Kasthuri Bai Nagar 3rs Cross Street from Sardar Patel road will not be allowed. The transportation will be diverted to LB road to reach the destination.
