A new facility to pay electricity bills soon

TANGEDCO has decided to introduce the facility to make electricity bills through the usage of QR secret codes.
Presently, the electricity bills can be aid at the Electricity board centres, government E-service centres, Post Offices, a few specific banks, the website of TANGEDCO and the Mobile App.
In order to make certain payments such as the telephone bill and the electricity bill, the company National Payments Corporation of India has commenced a website ‘Bharat Bill Pay’. By visiting the website of the banks and private sector services through this, Bharat Bill Pay section will be available. The name of the electricity board can be entered here and the payment can be made.
In this situation, TANGEDCO has now decided to introduce the facility to make electricity bill payment through QR code. A TANGEDCO official explained in this regard that apart from the existing facilities to pay the electricity bills, including the internet and mobile App, a new facility of QR code payment is being introduced.
Through this, one can visit the TANGEDCO website and access this option of QR code. Fill up the electricity connection number in the adjacent box. Then use the cell phone to access QR Code App and scan the QR code, the details of the bill payment will appear. Then the customer can pay the bill through any mode – net banking, Mobile App, or Bharat Bill Pay. As it is in the initial stages of introducing QR code, discussions are being held with the banks for implementing the same. This will be implemented shortly.
