It is located between the coast and Adyar River. Spread across 100 hectare, this place is a serene, green, peaceful and free from vehicles that is a real treat to the visitors. In spite of the restricted hours for visit, it’s definitely a wonderful spot to walk through. It has a church, mosque, Zoroastrian temple, Buddhist shrine as well as a Hindu temple. There are various flora of many kinds. The most popular feature here is the 450-year old banyan tree. There are impressive books (religious as well as philosophy) kept for display.
