British Council celebrates the amazing work of the favorite children’s author – Roald Dahlin Chennai

British Council in partnership with Penguin, celebrates the birthday of renowned children’s author - Roald Dahl with a bunch of exciting activities to inspire and enhance the creativity of children this weekend. Not only was Roald Dahl a British novelist, short story writer, poet, screenwriter but a fighter pilot as well, who won 18 awards for his brilliant creative work. His books have sold more than 250 million copies worldwide.

Storytelling, quiz and word search activities
The weekend will see interesting Roald Dahl themed activities such as storytelling, word search and a quiz for children. They will get a chance to win some exciting prizes for their performances in these activities.
Time: 10 am – 4 pm
For kids age 5-13 years
Movie screening of “James and the Giant Peach”
Be a part of the movie screening of the British-American musical fantasy film directed by Henry Selick, based on the 1961 novel of the same name by Roald Dahl. The film is a combination of live action and stop-motion animation.
Time: 4:30 p.m. onwards
