Holiday declared for schools in 5 districts today (Oct 5)

District collectors of Chennai, Tirunelveli, Thoothukudi, Kanchipuram & Thiruvallur officially declared holiday today (Friday, 5th October) for all schools due to incessant heavy rains.
The Chennai Meteorological Centre has warned that there are prospects of mild rain in the next 3 days in several places in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry until 7th October. There are prospects of heavy rain in some places.
