State government employees to get 20% Bonus

The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, E. Palanisamy, has announced that all the state government employees and the employees in the public sector undertaking which run with profit will be given a Deepavali festival bonus of 20%.
However, a 10% bonus has been announced for the employees of the public sector undertakings which run in the loss. It is informed that out of the 20% bonus, 8.33% will be the bonus part and the remaining 11.67% will be an ex-gratia payment.
An ex-gratia payment of Rs. 3000 has been announced for the casual workers in the state government including those in the Tamil Nadu Consumer goods Trading Corporation.
