The news that has come out now is low pressure is likely to form in northwest Bay of Bengal in 24 hours and as a result of this the Chennai city would receive light rainfall in the coming days. It is now said that this might be the sign of northeast monsoon that is expected to set in by Wednesday, 31st of October 2018. By Tuesday evening, the first line of showers would be hitting the coast and there would be moderated rainfall on Wednesday.
The RMC or Regional Meteorological Centre has forecasted about the weather conditions in the Chennai city. According to RMC it is clear that the sky would be cloudy and light rains would occur in certain places in the city. There has been the influence of cyclonic air circulation in the last two days and because of this low pressure would be developed likely.
Under the influence of low pressure the maximum temperature would be reduced. The maximum temperatures on Monday and Tuesday would be around 32 degree Celsius. This has been confirmed by the regional meteorological centre. It must be taken into account that on Sunday, Chennai city recorded a maximum temperature of 32.6 degree Celsius.
