The advance booking for the Deepavali special buses to be operated from Chennai commences today (Wednesday, 31st October).
On the occasion of the most prominent Hindu festival of Deepavali, it has been organised to operate 20567 special buses from various places to different destinations to facilitate the public to visit their native places to grandly celebrate the occasion of Deepavali.
11368 buses are scheduled to depart from Chennai on 3rd, 4th, and 5th November to various destinations. 9200 special buses are to be operated from the other districts to different destinations.
IN a similar trend, after the festival celebrations, to facilitate the passengers with their return journey, a total of 11842 special buses are to be operated from 7th November to 10th November from various locations including 4207special buses to Chennai.
The booking of reservations for the above special buses commences today (Wednesday, 31st October). The bookings will continue until 5th November. 30 special reservation/booking centres have been set up for this purpose in Koyambedu, Tambaram Sanatorium, Poonamallee, and Madhavaram.
The Tamil Nadu State Minister for Transport, M. R. Vijayabhaskar, will inaugurate these special booking centres at Koyambedu Bus terminus today (31st October).
Arrangements have been made to commence the booking from 11.00 AM today.
