The specification or regularization of the unapproved plots was announced by the state government of Tamil Nadu on 4th May 2017.
The last date to apply for the regularization of the unapproved plots expired on 3rd November. However, with the consideration to give another last chance for those who failed to apply, this last date for applying has been extended for another 5 days. Accordingly, applications for the regularization of unapproved plots can be made online from 16th November. The success of this concessional offer will depend on how well the public utilises this opportunity.
The real estate development experts observed in this regard that the public must come forward to avail this opportunity given by the state government of Tamil Nadu with the extended time. Those applicants who had bought the unapproved plots where only a few plots had been sold must act carefully in this regard.
They need to enquire and confirm whether the other plots bought by others have all been regularised and apply based on this confirmation. In case approval had already been given for the layout, the details can be submitted to DTCP (Directorate of Town and Country Planning) and thus regularize their purchase.
