Discounted prices in Amma and Cooperative medical shops

The government had ordered an increase in the subsidy for the purchase of medicines to 20% in the cooperative and Amma medical shops. Cooperative medical shops function throughout the state on behalf of the Cooperative Unions.
Amma medical shops were opened Taluk-wise a few years before. All medicines and tablets are sold at a 15% discount in these shops.
In this situation, the state government of Tamil Nadu has now ordered an increase in the discount offered for the purchase of medicines/tablets to 20%. The Cooperative Unions have been striving enthusiastically to implement this new discount on offer.
The officials of the Department of Cooperatives informed that the 20% discount on the purchase of medicines/tablets in Amm Medical Shops or Cooperative Medical Shops will be implemented by the start of next month (December).
