T.Sureshkumar,DMDK MLA representing the Chengam (SC) constituency, called on the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J.Jayalalithaa an hailed her untiring efforts in ensuring Cauvery waters for TN farmers and for battling in notifying the Cauvery Water Disputes Tribunal Final Award in the government gazette.

Though the DMDK was an ally of the ruling AIADMK party when the elections were held, and aftermath the DMDK had become an opposition party in the assembly, the relationships between the two parties strained after an heated verbal exchange between the TN Chief Minister J.Jayalalithaa and the DMDK leader Vijaykanth.

T.Sureshkumar is the fifth DMDK Legislator who met the Chief Minister to congratulate her for taking tremendous effort in notifying the Cauvery Tribunal Order. Earlier, four DMDK MLAs also met the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and aired their grievances of their constituencies, though this was not likened by Vijaykanth. The MLAs earned the wrath of their leader. Since then the four MLAs formed a separate group among themselves and started to function unitedly.

Now, T.Sureshkumar joins the bandwagon of the four MLAs, it is said.
