Prospects of rain today (30th Nov) in delta districts

As a low-pressure zone prevails over the Bay of Bengal, it has been announced that there are prospects of widespread rains in the coastal districts southern districts, and Puducherry.
The director of the Chennai Meteorological Centre, Balachandran, explained in this regard that as the northeast monsoon rainy season is presently in progress there are prospects of sudden rains based on the cyclonic winds.
Presently, there is a cyclonic format developed in the upper layers of the atmosphere over the Maldives and adjacent areas, Further, there is a low-pressure zone developed over the Bay of Bengal above the southern districts and adjacent areas.
Due to the above 2 formations, there are prospects of widespread rains in the southern coastal districts, delta districts, and the districts of Cuddalore and Pudhukkottai, and Puducherry and Karaikkal.
The Chennai Metro City skies will be cloudy. There are prospects of mild rain sometimes.
From 1st October until yesterday (Thursday, 29th November), there has been a 31% rainfall in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, This is 4% lesser than the expected average.
