According to the latest forecast made by meteorological department, there would be cloudy skies in the Chennai city. It also predicted that the possibility of rain would be remote in the coming days. The sky is likely to be cloudy and light rains might occur in certain places. It is now revealed that unless a new weather system is formed the chances of rains are remote in the city. The upper air circulation might bring light rains in the city of Chennai and this was confirmed by an official belonging to the meteorological department. The temperature of the day would be above 30 degree Celsius ion Friday and Saturday as the chances of rain is less. If the system moves up to northeast along the coast of TN then there might be rains. The meteorological department later stated that the occurrence of rain would be known only after couple of days.
It is worthy to note that yesterday’s cyclonic circulation over the Equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining southwest Bay of Bengal extending up to 3.1km above mean sea level is persisting. This was as per an interference made by the meteorological department. One important point is yesterday’s trough of low at mean sea level over southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining Equatorial Indian Ocean is still persisting and it extends up to 0.9 km above the mean sea level. The important piece of information is around 9th of December a low pressure is likely to form over southeast Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood.
