Ramanujan was born in Kumbakonam, Tamil Nadu, which had several other people of great genius, wisdom, and knowledge.

Ramanujan was born on 22nd December 1887. He studied in a Kumbakonam school and later, in the Kumbakonam government college.

On this accord, during the 16th year of this honoring event, Professors YiFeng Liu (Yale University, the USA) and Jack Thorne (Cambridge University) were selected for this honour and were accorded with the awards and cash of US $ 5000.
