One of the most common problems in our households is termites. They grow in our houses in tiny gaps, especially where there is no chance for air to penetrate. In this article, we present to you a quick tip to resolve the issue without much expense. It is an easy and simple procedure that anyone can do within minutes.

The contemporary interior designing follows setting up shelves or cupboards to arrange books, apparels and things. We see them being trendy enough to give our home a quirky outlook, but the ‘real’ cause for termites lie there. These cupboards leave room for termites to grow. How?

Check out behind your cupboard or shelf and you will end up finding a narrow space between the wall and storage compartment. This space is going to be too small that not even air could enter, and hence it makes it a good room for termites to breed and grow their family! You wouldn’t even know the presence of termites unless you go on an annual cleaning routine. Stop it there! Right there!

Be alert. Instead of spending thousands and lakhs towards clearing up the huge gang of termites as they grow their network, be cautious enough and take this little step.

Here is all you need

  • Lemon leave
  • Cotton cloth
  • Thread

Take a cotton cloth, preferably in a square shape.

Collect 10-20 lemon leaves.

Crush them finely using your palm.

Place the crush leaves in the cotton cloth.

Tie this with a thread.

Place this tied leaves inside your cupboard.

The fragrance emitted from the lemon leaves will keep termites at bay. As termites cannot grow or breed in this fragrance, it is going to serve you as a simple and costless solution to try at home.
