Mahatira Ra has pronounced this year 2019 as the YTCM(Year to Challenge Myself). As the tag sparks motivation in you right while reading, here is what he has advised as to how to grow yourself into a successful Leader!

What are the traits the make you a leader?

There very thin line drawn between leaders and followers! Mahatira Ra says followers look for and settle in Comfort Zone, while leaders look for Challenges.

Do you like responsibilities? He asks. One who likes to be responsible and volunteers to assume responsibility in every situation, every circumstance, and every criticality, and come forward raising their hands, such a person can certainly be a successful leader. On the contrary, if you don’t like responsibilities or challenges, there is no chance or likeliness for you to become a leader. I get appealed by people liking challenges, he says and hence is the name ‘Year to Challenge Myself’ as he has titled this year 2019.

This thought of challenging oneself should percolate deep into all your roots including business, personal life, family, work team, and all others. The challenge should be practiced round the clock throughout the year on all the 365 days.

The unconditional, ‘Right’ challenge

A challenge that is Right, a challenge that is Good should be practiced Unconditionally without any excuse. Importantly, this challenge should not be an ordinary thing.

As you practice this throughout the year, by the end of 2019, you will have this good emotion (or the practice of kicking out negative emotion) as an integral part of your entire life just the way you cannot separate fragrance from a flower!

When there is someone discussing about being in your comfort zone, step back and tell to yourself that it is not your zone!

So, how do you set goals?

According to Mahatira Ra, while setting your goals, ask yourself whether your goal is achievable. If it is so, skip the goal because an achievable, easy goal is not yours. Pick and fix a goal only that is challenging and one that drives you into the ground.
