The central minister Prakash Javadekar has informed that the high quality higher education institutions in the country with huge reputations such as the IITs (Indian Institute of Technology) and IISERs (India Institutes of Science, Education, and Research) would perform as the guidelines for the schools located in the surrounding neighbourhood especially in the subjects of Mathematics and Sciences.

In the `Vibrant Gujarat` event presently organised in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, an exhibition on Space Research is apart of the programme. This exhibition was inaugurated by the Central Minister for Human Welfare and Development, Prakash Javadekar.

After the inauguration, the minister shared:

‘As per the present scenario, subjects like Mathematics, Science, and Engineering have extreme significance. It is better to instil a sense of research right from the primary schools.

Subjects such as Mathematics and Science are still considered as rather difficult subjects by several students. The surveys and researches conducted in this aspect establish that the students who do not well in these subjects academically are generally backward in their higher education as well.

It is a reality that there is no requirement for any hi0fi equipment to learn Mathematics and Science. Just some simple techniques adopted wilt teaching and learning will help understand these subjects better.

As per the above observation, the responsibility of the primary school teachers assumes a great significance. In order to solve the difficulties encountered on this aspect by the student and also to help the primary school teachers, The IITs and IISER academic institutions and other reputed universities must act as guides to help this aspect.

In an arrangement, the professors from IITs and IISERs would visit 10-15 schools located in the neighbourhood and will teach the students on the subjects Mathematica and Science.

These academic institutions must ensure that the significant subjects of Mathematics and Science are taught and trained in the proper manner.`
