Worker dies in Kudankalam

A contract worker from Odisha has died in the Kudakalam Power Plant on Saturday. Alok Taray was electrocuted.
Reports say that the authorities feel that Mr. Taray violated safety measures. He was doing cabling work in an underground tunnel in the plant’s second unit when the unfortunate incident happened. Public Relations Officer of the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant spoke to the media. ‘An investigation on this accident will soon begin; none would be spared, all parties including the main contractor, sub-contractor and many others would be questioned’, he said.
