As far as the data pack and talk-time revisions are concerned, Airtel has been in a tweaking spree in the recent past. And the latest of all is its changes in benefits in its Rs 199 plan.

The subscribers get 1.5GB of daily data limit along with 100 national SMS with unlimited voice calling which is inclusive of national and local calls. on the whole, for a validity period of 28 days, users get 42 GB of internet. Earlier, the users were given 1 GB of daily data counting to 28 GB on the whole for the Rs 199 plan. Now, the calling and SMS benefits continue to be the same whereas data benefits is enriched. After discontinuing outgoing call services, Airtel started getting appreciation from all corners.

However, the sadness is not to prolong as the data benefits of the Rs 119 Airtel plan has got reduced by about 50 percent. In the beginning, it used to provide users with 2GB of data for 28 days. Now, users get 1GB data and are very cautious about burning the data limit for the month. There is no change with the others like unlimited voice calling or national roaming,  and free SMS, say reports.

There is also another offer from Airtel which is priced Rs 119 with validity period of 14 days in specific circles in India. This is not much appreciated and will probably have a dent in the overall image on Airtel when set against Reliance Jio or others that offer far better benefits. Earlier, the same plan was priced Rs 99 while now there is an increase in tariff of up to Rs 119.

There are similar plans with Vodafone Idea and Airtel as well for the same rate of Rs 119. In this, customers have unlimited voice calling facility along with 1GB of data with 28 days validity. In the Reliance Jio Rs 98 plan, users get 2GB data for a period of 28 days along with 300 SMS and national roaming and voice calling facility.
