Chief Minister flagged off the new buses of Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation

The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, E. Palanismay, inaugurated the services of 275 new buses on behalf of the Tamil Nadu Transport Corporations.

This event was organised in the Tamil Nadu government Chief Secretariat with the Chief Minister E. Palanisamy flagging off the new buses.

17 buses from Chennai, 72 buses from Villupuram, 43 buses from Salem, 75 buses from Coimbatore, and 68 buses from Kumbakonam, for a total of 250 buses are being introduced.

Out of these new buses, buses with automatic doors, low and wide steps, and individual separate seats are provided for the buses to be operated in the cities. All buses have wide standing space to stand and travel comfortably and with 2 emergency exits on either side of the bus, the speaker facility to announce the stops.

Space for the differently-abled to keep their support-sticks and the facility to announce through a bell regarding the stop have been provided. The LED board displaying the bus route, a fan for the driver, LED lights within the bus, and a horn to announce the movement of the bus on the backside.
