There was a sudden but pleasant welcome rain today (Thursday, 28th February) morning bringing a pleasant cold climate. Further, the sky is full of clouds with impending rain at any moment.
The weather cenre had informed earlier itself that there were prospects of rain for 2 days. However, there were no rains at all during the last week. There were no symptoms for rains as well!
However, this morning (Thursday, 28th February) at 5.30 AM itself, a pleasant light drizzle commenced.
It rained in several areas of the Chennai Metro City including Meenambakkam, Guindy, Saidapet, Adyar, Raja Annamalaipuram, and Triplicane.
It rained steadily in the suburban areas of Chennai as well including Perungalathur, Maraimalainagar, Ambattur, and Ayappakkam.
This sudden brought an immense satisfactory relief for the public, so eager to enjoy the pleasant weather!
This rain, just before the onset of the summer season, is indeed a pleasant relief for the Chennai Metro City residents. However, they still strongly opine that there should be some continuous rains for at least 4 days in succession non-stop in order to counter the acute drinking water shortage problem!
