The students shared that the question papers on the subjects of Mathematics, Commerce, and Zoology were rather tough. So, the teacher observed that there are strong possibilities for the number of centums (full marks – 100/100) coming down as compared to the last year.

The public examination for the main subjects for the +2 students/candidates commenced from Thursday (7th March).

4 students from Chennai shared:

‘In the Mathematics question paper, 9 out of the 20 questions under the 1-mark category were rather difficult and demanded some thinking. Similarly, in the 2-marks questions, 2 questions asked belonged to the category of 5-marks question. There was no sufficient time to answer these questions. In fact, we had prepared quite thoroughly to score the full marks in Mathematics! However, it is now doubtful as to whether we can get full marks due to the 1-mark question category!’

2 teachers from Chennai shared:

‘All the questions in the Mathematics were asked from the syllabus only. Still, there were unprecedentedly more questions in the 1-mark category which were rather indirect. The question paper was rather tough! However, the 5-mark question category was very much on the expected lines and thus there are better chances of full marks in Mathematics.

For the Arts students, the examination on Commerce was on Thursday as the  1st exam. The students shared in this regard: ‘Compared to all other subjects, it is easier to score high marks in Commerce!  However, we did not expect such a question paper for the public examination! Most of the questions were so new! Some of the questions had never been asked in the quarterly, half-yearly, or the previous year’s examinations! Even the 1-mark questions demanded deeper thinking to answer! In a similar trend, the 2-marks and 3-marks category of questions were rather tough. However, the questions about the 5-mark category were easier! While passing is not at difficult, it is rather tough o score more than 90 out of 100!

In a similar trend, the 1-mark and 20 marks categories in the Zoology question paper were also rather tough!’
