Women play important roles in our lives and in our society. To bring out the importance of women, every year on 8th of March, International Women’s Day is celebrated. On Friday, 8th March 2019, there was totally different celebration conducted by airlines ‘Air India’ on the occasion of this women’s day.
As per the officials it is now revealed that yesterday on the women’s day, Air India operated 2 domestic flights between Chennai and Delhi and the important point here is the crew present in those two flights were all women.
The amazing information that has emerged out now is around 14 women employees employed by Air India operated the flights efficiently and made many heads turn in awe. It is important to mention that flights A1440 and A 1429 were operated by Captain M, Deepa and Captain Vrindha Nair and cabin crew had Shalini, Sagaria, Anjalakshmi, Alice and Virginia. From Chennai to Delhi and from Delhi to Chennai these all women crew flights were operated yesterday.
In Chennai, the flights were flagged off by the general manager of Air India and there were also many other senior officials present. According to the sources it is very clear that the all women crew Air India flight from Chennai to Delhi had 182 women passengers on board and the flight from Delhi to Chennai had 162 women passengers.
There were some words of happiness from Captain M. Deepa and she spoke about how she has been flying for 13 years and how she had the honour of flying the all women crew.
An official expressed his thoughts about the all women crew and spoke about how approximately 62 women pilots and as many as 181 female crew cabin members were involved in flying more than 50 flights of their company that had only women crew on board on Friday.
