The State Government Department of Examinations has ordered grace marks to be awarded to the students in the Chemistry Public Examinations conducted for +2 students.
The +2 public examinations under the Tamil Nadu State Government Syllabus for the +2 students concluded on 19th March. The question papers were rather easy for most of the subjects unlike the year 2018 when the question papers were rather tough!
However, some questions in the Chemistry Question paper demanded more careful read and thinking from the students. In the question Paper for Chemistry in English, question No. 33 was correct. However, in the Tamil version, in the same question, instead of ‘kilarvurum aatral’ only the word ‘aatral’ had been printed. Thus the word ‘kilarvurum’ was left out. This led to confusion among many students. The same news was published in the next day’s newspapers as well!
With the correction of all the answer sheets for +2 Public Examinations scheduled to start today (Friday, 29th March), the state government department of examination has ordered 3 grace marks to be awarded to the students on this issue.
This has been notified in the instruction sheets given for correction of answer sheets and the marks to be awarded.
