Postal voting for the parliamentary elections commence in Tamil Nadu

With the parliamentary elections scheduled on 19th April, 3.5 Lakhs government workers and teachers have been employed for this. They are being trained regarding the voting process. Similarly, the police also will be deployed for security reasons.

So, in order to facilitate the above-deployed government workers, teachers and police to vote, a postal voting process had been arranged. For the postal voting schedule, 245 counters were set up as 1 counter each of the 234 Legislative Assembly Constituencies.

The voter who carry out the postal voting need to fill up the application, and tick the chosen candidate with black ink tick, got the attested signature from the gazette officer and drop in the ballot box. There were 16 postal voting counters set up in Chennai Metro City.
