Bollywood actors Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Neelam and Sonali Bendre appeared in the Jodhpur court on Friday for the 14 year old black buck case. Main accused Salman Khan did not appear. The actors have been accused of poaching two of the endangered black bucks during the shooting of ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’ in 1998. The poaching or hunting of the deer species is punishable under law.
Jodhpur Chief Judicial Magistrate Chandrakala Jain charged them under Section 9/51 and 9/52 of the Wildlife protection Act and Section 149 of the Indian Penal Code. The date for the next hearing is April 27.
