Random numbers to be given to 1.33 lakh engineering aspirants by TNEA

The latest piece of news is on Monday, random numbers would be assigned to 1.33 lakhs engineering aspirants, who have applied for the online counselling. This would be carried out by the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions or TNEA. The important point is 10 digit random numbers would be generated in the presence of higher education minister, Mr. K.P. Anbalagan.

There would be students who would have scored the same marks and to break the tie between these students random numbers play their role. It is said that merit would be determined in the order of percentage of marks obtained in mathematics, physics, fourth optional subject, DOB and random number (higher value to be preferred more).

From 6th June till 11th June 2019, from 9 am till 5 pm, in as many as 42 designated TNEA facilitation centres in TN, verification of certificates would be done. Every day as many as 7 sessions would be held. It is important to mention that the candidates would be allotted their preferred TNEA facilitation centres or TFCs and would be given a time slot.

Point is in the Chennai city there would be 4 TFC’s, 2 in CPT Taramani and one each in Anna Centenary library and Science city. All the original certificates must be carried by the candidates to the verification centres. On 17th June, rank list would be released and from 3rd July to 28th July, online engineering counselling would take place. It is important to note that in this year more than 1.7 lakhs seats would be available for online engineering counselling.
