Railway tickets to be more expensive from Monday

As per the Railway Budget for 2013-14, railway tickets will be costlier starting from Monday, the beginning of the financial year. Although passenger ticket prices will remain the same, charges for superfast, Tatkal, reservation fee, clerkage, cancellation and service have increased. Freight rate for commodities has increased by 5.7%.
The reservation for AC classes has increased by Rs. 10 to Rs. 25 but remains the same for second and sleeper class. Superfast costs will be Rs. 10 more for sleeper and second class, and upto Rs. 25 for AC classes. Tatkal fees has been hiked by 10% of the basic fare for second class and 30% for AC.
