In Chennai, many water washing service stations for the vehicles have shut down now

In Chennai with huge population, many use their own vehicles to reach their places of destination. The vehicle owners give their vehicles for water washing at the service stations in Chennai is known.

The latest information is the vehicle wash service stations in Chennai have been hit by the present water crisis and this has resulted in the shutting down of these service stations now.

There are many people who work in these service centres to make their both ends meet. It is now brought out that these workers have lost their jobs and that had impacted their lives.

At Pallikaranai in Chennai is present Extremo Car Garage and the owner Mr. Manikandan expressed his thoughts. He was unhappy regarding the lack of business and said he was forced to shut down his shop. He added that he went to his native village in the Thiruvannamalai district. Mr. Manikandan explained about how his shop depended on the private water tankers after the groundwater got dried up and how the private water tankers were not able to supply water now. He then highlighted about how three of his employees come to the shop to do dry cleaning services for the motorists and for the few 2 wheeler riders. Finally, he revealed that he would return back to Chennai on Tuesday.

The important information is there are about 500 water wash service stations in the city of Chennai. For water washing a car, as much as 50 litres of water is required. There are few service centres in Chennai that could afford high rates for water and they are continuing their work but majority of these service centres have wounded up now.

Crystal Clear Car Clinic at East Mogappair that has been doing well is facing issues now. The in-charge of this service centre Mr. Sathish revealed that the number of cars coming has reduced to a fraction now. He shed light on how from 5 cars per day it has now come down to 5 cars per month. This has led to retrenchment of 2 employees now. He finally hinted that recycling and rainwater harvesting have been helping to maintain the groundwater levels.

It should be noted that atleast 7 water wash service centres that were present inside 1 km radius of his service centre have shut down due to the water crisis. At West Mambalam in Chennai, is present Jai Bajaj showroom cum service centre. Now this centre had put up a notice some fortnight back stating that water wash service cannot be done due to lack of water. 

The sensational information gathered is some water washing service centres are dedicating few of their staffs to associate with the private water tanker operators for sourcing water and for continuing their services without any break.
