Online general counselling for engineering from Today (3rd july)

It may be noted that the online counselling for admission to engineering courses are conducted 4 phases.
The counselling for admission to engineering colleges is in progress. As such, the counselling for the general category Cadre is scheduled to commence from today (Wednesday, 3rd July).
The counselling sessions for admission to engineering courses commenced on 25th June. The counselling for the candidates of special cadre and the industrial course cadre has already been completed.
Now, the counselling for the general category cadre is set to start from today.
It has been announced that candidates who are in the rank group from 1-to-9872 can participate in the online counselling either from their residences or the 46 help centres set up got this purpose throughout Tamil Nadu.
It has further been announced that the counselling for this general category is to be conducted in 4 phases. The1st Phase is set to commence today (Wednesday, 3rd July) and conclude on 10th July.
The seat allotment for the candidates will be given on 11th July. The candidates who got seats offered will confirm joining the chosen colleges before 12th July. The final seat allotment will be carried out on 13th July. During this session, the candidates who had not chosen their preferred colleges yet can participate in the next counselling session.
Further, it is worth noting that this counselling for the general category is scheduled till 28th July.
As the allotment of seats for engineering colleges would be completed before the allotment of seats for medical colleges, the students are in a dilemma!
