Pondicherry University’s Department of History is commemorating its 25th year by holding a seminar on ‘New Approaches to Medieval Indian History’. The national seminar will be held on April 4th and 5th.
An official press statement said, ‘the Department has emerged as one of the leading centres of research and teaching in the fields of Ancient Indian History, Medieval History and Modern Indian History and has secured assistance from the UGC under the SAP Scheme, The first phase of the SAP-DRS I is reaching completion.’
The participants will include eminent historians from around the country. Papers will discuss regional states such as the Kaktiyas, the Cholas and the Hoysalas.
