It rained heavily with lightning and thunder in several parts of Tamil Nadu including the Chennai Metro city yesterday night (Thursday, 25th July).
Due to the impact of the southwest monsoon rainy season as well as the convective rain phenomenon, there have been rains in a few places in Tamil Nadu.
There have been heavy rains with lightning and thunder for the 3rd successive night in the Chennai Metro City!
There were heavy rains for more than 2 hours in several places in the city including Theagaraya Nagar, Vadapalani, Meenambakkam, Guindy, Saidapet, Pallavaram, Chromepet, Tambaram, Vyasarpadi, and Vandalur.
Likewise, there were heavy rains in Sendhamangalam, Budhansandhai and the neighbourhood in Namakkal district much to the delight of the farmers.
There were widespread rains in Mayiladuthurai, Kutralam, Semmanarkoil, and other areas in the district of Nagappattinam.
With the rains, the impact of the oppressive heat of the daytime got reduced and a pleasant climate prevailed much to the relief and delight of the local residents!
