Good news for the cable TV subscribers! The monthly charges for the users of Tamil Nadu Arasu Cable TV Company have been drastically reduced – it will be Rs. 154! The customers can watch all channels including the charged ones as per their choice! The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister E. Palaniswamy released an announcement in this regard yesterday (Wednesday, 31st July).

The Tamil Nadu Arasu Cable TV Company has procured 36 Lakhs Set-top boxes and has installed 35.12 Lakhs set-top boxes free to their customers.
Currently, Tamil Nadu Arasu Cable TV Company is the leading Cable TV provider offering all the public preferred channels!
In this situation, acceding to the repeated public appeal from the Tamil Nadu public, the Chief Minister E. Palaniswamy announced that the monthly charges for the Tamil Nadu Arasu Cable TV subscription has been fixed at Rs. 130 (GST extra) from 10th August.
Due to the scheduled parliamentary election in the constituency of Vellore, this revised reduced monthly subscription rate will be implemented all over Tamil Nadu except Vellore district. Once the rules and regulations of the Election Commission are withdrawn at Vellore, this will be implemented in Vellore as well!
The charges and the number of channels
Tamil Nadu Arasu Cable TV Company has been offering 191 channels for its customers for the monthly charges of up o Rs. 22o apart from the GST of 18%. Including the GST rate, the monthly charges are Rs. 260.
In this scenario, with the recent announcement as above by the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister E. Palaniswamy, the subscribers will now pay a monthly subscription of Rs. 130 and Rs. 24 as GST for a total of Rs. 154.
