Details about the Fair
On behalf of the Trichy Currency Notes Collectors’ Association, The World Currency Notes Fair is scheduled to be conducted in Trichy on 14th, 15th, and 16th August from 10.00 AM to 8.00 PM at the Srinivasa Hall located near the Trichy Central Bus station.
The currency notes of around 200 countries in the world will be on display in the Fair. Moreover, there would be an explanation presented about the relevant country’s history, culture, lifestyle, and economy.
Malaysia, while celebrating the occasion of its 60th Independence Day released the world’s largest currency note of dimensions 22*37 cm worth 600 Ringgit. This has been recognized as the world’s largest currency note and is recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records.
As per the Guinness World Record, the world’s largest size of valid legal currency note was released on 29th December 2017 by Negara Malaysia Bank in Malaysia. The currency note is actually larger than an A$ size sheet of paper! It is worth 600 Malaysian Ringgit.
The organisers of the World Currency Nortes Fair informed that the photographs of Malaysia’s Agongs State leaders and also the photographs related to the independence agreements signed by various Sultans.
