Four DMK MLA’s including M.K. Stalin was suspended for two days from the Assembly on Monday. The MLAs Mr. Stalin, Mr. Govi Chezhiyan, Mr. Thangam Thennarasu and Mr. Moideen Khan squatted in front of the Speaker’s chair after being refused to raise points. The discussion in progress was on the Mullaiperiyar and Cauvery disputes between Tamil Nadu and neighboring States.
The four MLAs had to be physically removed by Marshalls after they refused to get up from the floor in front of Assembly Speaker P. Dhanapal’s bench. They have been suspended on the grounds of unruly behavior.
